Frequently Asked Questions
how did you get into weather?
At the age of three, I fell in love with meteorology when I was making weather maps and coloring them in on pieces of printer paper. I would always watch The Weather Channel, and sometimes I would pretend that I was the meteorologist on the TV! Ever since this time, I've always been fanatic about meteorology!
when did you create North texas weather center?
My media began in February of 2015 as Atkinson NH Weather. After moving to Texas, it then became Argyle TX Weather (Late 2017/Early 2018). After thought and consideration in April of 2020, it changed to Denton County Weather, after hitting new heights with page support. As of November of 2021, our media and website was rebranded to North Texas Weather Center.
What social media pages do you have for weather alerts and more?

does this website offer severe weather alerts?
We do, however, this is not the best area to get Severe Weather Alerts for your location. I highly recommend downloading an app on your mobile device, or using a weather radio. Mobile apps recommended for Weather Alerts are The Weather Channel or MyRadar.
where do you get your weather information from?
I use various computer models and a lot of my own knowledge. All forecasts that I create are unique and are based off of computer models and my own personal predictions.
are the graphics on this website, facebook, instagram, and youtube made and owned by you?
All graphics are owned by North Texas Weather Center, unless otherwise credited. We occasionally use the National Weather Service or a local news station for situations where we are unable to provide updates.
can i use your graphics, photos, videos, etc, on broadcasts or a website of my own?
You can NEVER use my photos, videos, or graphics on any site, video, or broadcast, and claim it as your own. You must provide credit to this website. You are free to share my posts on Social Media Websites, as long as North Texas Weather Center is credited.
is this your actual job?
North Texas Weather Center is actively my full-time job. The only reason why it is still a full-time job is due to the financial support from sponsors and donors. If it wasn't for these amazing people, this wouldn't be possible!
who is your inspiration?
When I lived in New Hampshire, my favorite meteorologist was Harvey Leonard from WCVB Channel 5. Even now, he is still my favorite. I visited WCVB 5 twice. The most recent time was in the Summer of 2019. He is the most accurate meteorologist that I know of.

which field of weather are you the best at?
One of the strongest areas of weather is severe weather. I have self-taught myself a lot about severe storms and a lot of the different types of radars that are used to figure out what is going on in a storm. Winter Weather is my second strongest, due to the fact that I lived in a snowy, winter climate in New Hampshire for a long time. Also, I am great predicting hurricanes. I was able to predict that Hurricane Dorian in 2019 would become a Category 5 Hurricane around 36 hours before any other meteorologist thought that. I also predicted the EXACT track and intensity of the storm days before Hurricane Laura made landfall as a Category 4 Hurricane. This prediction was also about 36 hours prior to other weather stations.
