Wildfires are prompting mandatory evacuations in Hood County. A Red Flag Warning has been in effect for areas West of I-35. This is all due to very low relative humidity and strong winds. The National Weather Service has made it clear that everyone should avoid any outdoor burning as fires will spread quick in these conditions.

Lipan, TX, has been one of the towns ordered in a mandatory evacuation. If you live North of Star Hollow Road and/or in Lipan, you are urged to evacuate. There are two shelters available for those that need it. Granbury United Methodist on Loop 567 and First Christian Church by Tractor Supply.

One firefighter was confirmed to have been hurt, according to the Hood County Sheriff. There has also been another injured firefighter, but no details have yet to be released about his injury.

In Eastland County, the Eastland Complex fire has continued to burn. Over 54,000 acres have now burned with only 30% of the fire contained.
