[SEVERE WEATHER OUTLOOK] Friday Evening into Saturday AM - MOD / MOD-HIGH Risk

5/13/2020

Picture
Here is an extended look for Friday Evening into Saturday Morning. Information below.

Storms are expected to fire up West and North of DFW, and create, once again, a line of storms. Two lines will form. One will push from Central Oklahoma and will push south. One will form in Central TX/SW OK and push ESE. This may change to something else, but all of the models by far agree on this scenario. There is only one other scenario that occurs, and we see a blow up in our CAP, which will rapidly create very slow moving storms over North Texas, that would mainly produce damaging winds and hail.

The main threats seem to be hail (especially out of the initial storms), damaging straight line winds (widespread most likely), and a few brief tornadoes. Do not panic. This isn't something you should be concerned about quite yet. We still have around 48 hours to gain new information, and weather always changes! Let's wait and see, by Friday Morning, we will have a much more confident outlook.
