Severe Weather Possible in North Texas for Friday, May 22nd, 2020

5/21/2020

Picture
There is a Moderate Risk of Severe Weather in parts of DFW for Friday afternoon into the evening.

There will be about a 30% coverage across most of DFW at this time. This number may go up depending on if we see isolated/scattered storms forming, or if we see a line of storms that would push north to south into DFW.

Timing is likely to be somewhere in the mid-late afternoon into the evening. Cannot rule out a storm slightly earlier.

The main threats continue to be damaging winds and hail, however, a low tornado threat cannot be ruled out, especially along the Red River.

We will continue to post updates on our media pages.
